The dance drama The Embroidery Girl took place during the transition period from Qing Dynasty, the last monarch, to the Republic of China. It tells a Chinese girl story whose pursuit of embroidery and her fight for the liberty to live and love freely. The art of embroidery is the art of the girl’s life, and her life is threaded in her embroidery art. She has left the embroidery art bible for the future generations,

The Embroidery Girl was invested heavily, employed a group of highly achieved figures, such as renowned dance choreographer Zhao Ming,  new generation music composer  Zhou Han, rewarded stage design master Zhang Jiwen, and costume design Li Rei, etc, and some of the best dancers in the Institution, eg.: Tang ChenLong, Zhang Yamei, Liu Xin, Mi Xia, etc.
